Download prompt

Navigate to your local Notes Data directory and click Save.

Save to the Data directory

Common locations for your Notes Data directory include:

  • My Computer \ C Drive \ Lotus \ Notes \ Data
  • My Computer \ C Drive \ Program Files \ IBM \ Lotus \ Notes \ Data

Step 3: Open eProductivity Reference

When the download completes, select Open.

Open eProductivity Reference

If your browser is different than Internet Explorer, you can open the database in either of the two following ways:

On most computers, navigate to the Lotus Notes Data directory where you saved the Reference file. Find the Reference file and double-click it. Notes will automatically open the database for you. If this does not work, you will need to open the database manually, using the instructions below.

To open the database manually, launch Lotus Notes. Now, hold down the ‘Ctrl’ Key and press the letter ‘O’. This will bring up the ‘Open’ dialog. From there, navigate to the location where you saved the downloaded Reference Database, select the file, and click 'Open'.

When you have opened eProductivity Reference inside of Lotus Notes, you are ready to begin using it.

Welcome to eProductivity Reference!

Security alerts

For your protection, your Notes Administrator may have configured Lotus Notes to alert you if you attempt to open a database that is not on its list of trusted sources. If so, when you first open eProductivity Reference, you may receive several security alerts.

Reference security alert

If you receive these security alerts, you will need to indicate that you want to ‘trust’ this application to run on your computer. ‘Trusting' the signer of this database simply means that you have recognized it as safe and that you are comfortable with it performing its tasks. If you are not permitted to trust the signer, you will need to contact your Lotus Notes administrators.
