Weekly Tip: Customizing your Project Types and Action Contexts (Part 3)

This is the final week of our three part series on customizing project types and action contexts. (Part 1 | Part 2)

In eProductivity, your Project Types and Action Contexts appear in the left-hand navigator. What's great is that the navigator is highly customizable. This week's tip will show you how to sort your navigator's list into whatever order suits you best.

Organizing Your Contexts
Once you've picked your Project Types and Action Contexts from Parts 1 & 2 of this series, you can organize the types and contexts as you see fit. To get started with this, go into the eProductivity preferences and look for the Projects & Actions > Contexts section, as shown below.

Create custom contexts of your own choice

This week, we're moving on to Section 3 - Organize contexts.

You have two lists you can sort - Project Types and Action Contexts. On the navigator, they get blended into one composite list with the Project Types appearing first, followed by the Action Contexts.

There are three buttons to help you organize your types and contexts - "Move up", "Move down", and "Sort". Move up and Move down are self-explanatory. Sort, on the other hand, makes that list sort alphabetically with an A to Z order.

Once the two lists of Projects and Actions look like how you want them, do not click the "Update Context List" button. This will undo any changes that you've made. Instead, just save and close the eProductivity preferences.

You will then need to close and reopen your mail file for the changes to take effect. Your eProductivity navigator will be updated with your chosen order for your list of project types and action contexts.

Until Next Week...
This week's tip helps you customize eProductivity's options so that you have control over how the software matches your needs. Next week we'll bring you another tip!
